The Pharisee Saul was persecuting preachers of the Way of Jesus until he was struck blind as "a light from heaven flashed around him." (Acts 9:3) After a follower of the Way explained the gospel to Saul, his sight was restored and his life transformed.
Writing as an apostle to the
followers of the Way in Corinth, Paul explains: "But someone will ask,
'How are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come?" He
answers from his own experience: "Fool! What you sow does not come to
life unless it dies . . . It is sown a physical body, it is raised a
spiritual body." (1 Cor. 15: 35-44)
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
I have already come,
'Tis grace has brought me safe thus far
And grace will lead me home.
Grace and peace . . . Bob Traer
